| OK, I spent 3 hours on phone support between my bank and then Microsoft support (twice with them) and here is how we cleared it: Backed up my file. set up the hotmail account for online services again. (somewhere in the file...new) Created a new file. Added my bank as online service. Went into the tools and online services, and checked to remove the online service. Closed the file. Back into Money, opened the old file. went into tools and removed the online services. Added the online services back in. Downloaded the last 30 days...and it was fixed. Not sure if all or some of that is what cured it, but we are happy at this point, and hope in a few days when we download another active statement, it will still be working. In Internet Explorer delete your browser temporary files again with> does not work. Wondering if some windows update messed it up? We have Money > 2006 Deluxe and it has worked fine until recently. Tools-> InternetOptions-> DeleteFiles or Tools-> InternetOptions-> Delete-> DeleteFiles. Then in Money do File-> RepairMoneyFile-> QuickFileRepair again. Then go to Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServiceSetting and select ShowStandardizedPayeeNamesForWhichANameIsNotFound. This is a global (inter-file) setting. Download again. - quote - > "Kev" wrote: > > I have tried everything discussed (or at least that I could find) on this > > message board about downloaded transactions failing to show up but nothing > > works. > > > Like others I was successful downloading my transactions into Money (2006 > > Standard OEM Edition) and then all of sudden they would show up as present in > > the account list as "Transactions to read" but they would not show up in the > > register. | Kev, I have never used a Canadian bank. Hopefully someone else is following this thread and can help on that subject. cindy "Kev" <Kev[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B84199E7-42F3-406C-BAE7-504DBF5CB076[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Hi Cindy, > Thanks for the suggestions. > I tried what you said (although I done that before) with one > clarification - I used Delete All rather than just the temporary internet > files (I had been hesitant to do this before as it would also delete my > browser history and passwords to sites I don't frequent much). | Hi Cindy, Thanks for the suggestions. I tried what you said (although I done that before) with one clarification - I used Delete All rather than just the temporary internet files (I had been hesitant to do this before as it would also delete my browser history and passwords to sites I don't frequent much). This seemed to work for one account and then the next account I tried it was back to the same old problem. (The bank was CIBC in Canada - perhaps those Canadian banks are causing the problem :-) ). Any other suggestions? Thanks again. "Cindy Conover" wrote: - quote - > When you say "deleting files in Explorer" do you mean your temp files? If > not try deleting them. | When you say "deleting files in Explorer" do you mean your temp files? If not try deleting them. When you do your file repair, make sure you are opening your repaired file. cindy "treelemons" <treelemons[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7E520AF8-61B7-4363-821B-14AE55E5098E[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > We have the same problem exactly! | We have the same problem exactly! We tried reinstalling money and it still does not work. Wondering if some windows update messed it up? We have Money 2006 Deluxe and it has worked fine until recently. | I have tried everything discussed (or at least that I could find) on this message board about downloaded transactions failing to show up but nothing works. Like others I was successful downloading my transactions into Money (2006 Standard OEM Edition) and then all of sudden they would show up as present in the account list as "Transactions to read" but they would not show up in the register. I tried deleting the transactions and downloading them again but without any success. I tried deleting them, deleting the files in Explorer (V7) and then downloading the transactions again but again without success. I tried deleting the transactions, deleting files in Explorer, repairing (quick and standard) the Money file and then downloading again, but to no success. I tried downloading the transactions into a Quicken file and then importing them, again without success. Does anyone know of any other possible suggestions? (This is a really annoying problem.) |
