Thank you. I am further foward than I was yesterday. I have all my data,
downloads seem to have happened so I can now get reports, the only thing I
see that is wrong is that MS Money says I have trial version despite having
purchased 2006 version. Any ideas?
Thanks

Be sure that your Money and backup files are moved to a spot that
you will have full privileges to, such as Documents/MyDocuments.
If they are in a place like ProgramFiles, Vista will create an
impermanent copy of the file for the user to use, unless the user
explicitly right-clicks at launch and choose RunAsAdminsistrator
that time.

Make sure you are prepared to reinstall. If you purchased Money
via download, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/889930/ . If you
have the retail disk, have it handy. Reinstall Money by running
the setup by right-clicking the setup icon and choose
RunAsAdmistrator.

Check that the SSL2 protocol is enabled. That checkbox may be in
IE Tools-> InternetOptions-> Advanced.

Right-click the Money icon and choose RunAsAdmistrator to let any
available update happen. Then reboot the computer.

have tried right clicking to run as administrator and also downloading the
MS patch but my pc says that it is not needed. i don't know what else to do.
