| I use the essential register for my online account because I like that it groups adjustments (non-cleared transactions) separately from cleared transactions. Also, it will always show me non-cleared transactions no matter the date, as well as recently cleared transactions. In the advanced register, you can only see transactions within a certain date range (meaning adjustments that haven't cleared in a while may get hidden) or you can set it to ONLY see adjustments (meaning cleared transactions are always hidden). I want to always be able to see my adjustments, no matter what the date, as well as seeing recently cleared transactions. There is no setting for this in the advanced register. | But, if I transfer the other way around (FROM the online account TO the offline account), then the transaction in the essential register shows up in the right place, under "Adjustments". I would think it should work the same for both cases. Plus, given the fact that if I switch from Essential to Advanced then back to Essential, fixes it, makes me think this is a bug in the software. | I'm guessing that all accounts have to be advanced or essential not a mixture. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. I do not respond to any emails that I have not specifically asked for. | Has anyone else noticed this odd behavior in Microsoft Money 2007 Deluxe? I have two accounts, one is an online account using the essential register and the other is an offline account using the advanced register. I created a recurring transfer (from the advanced bill summary screen) that transfers money FROM the offline account TO the online account. When I enter one occurrence of the transfer into the account registry (from the Bill Summary page), the transaction appears correctly in my offline account register but shows up under "Cleared Transactions" in the online account's essential register. This messes up the bank balance and the adjusted balance for that account. The new transaction should appear under the "Adjustments" section in the essential register. The only way around it, I've found, is to change the online account's essential register to be an advanced register, and then change it back to the essential register. It moves the transaction from "Cleared Transactions" to "Adjustments" and adds a new transaction for me called "Account Adjustment". I then delete that transaction, and everything is fine. Am I doing something wrong or is this a pretty obvious bug? |
