Banking-> AccountTools-> Categories&Payees-> Payees-> GoToPayeeRulesManager.
Your downloaded transactions may come with some generic term where
the Payee should be. Excluded Payee Names identifies words and
phrases that should be ignored from the payee field (e.g., check,
deposit, purchase). Add words that are generically added by your
bank.


Set
Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServices-> ShowStandardizedPayeeNames to
combine payees that differ only by a number or punctuation. This
may work better after you have combined payees from previous
downloads.

I have a mileage plus account. Every time I use my credit card I get points.
When I down load my transitions to Money 2006 it puts an M P in front of the
payee’s name.
It then does not match with the payee I already have in Money. How do I get
money to ignore the M P the bank puts in front of the payee?
