| I had actually figured that, and I did know what the msi was, but I was hoping there was something about it I didn't know, and thank you for your help. I do appreciate it. I guess I will have to see if I can find a copy of it somewhere in the world...Used or new.... | The money.msi file is not a license acceptance, it is the Money installation file (msi = microsoft installer). Google ".msi file" for more info. I think that you misunderstand the Restore function. It save neither data nor applications. You need a backup or image file to do that. All restore does is save settings, registry entries, shortcuts, etc. So without any install disks, Money is gone. -- Peace, BobJ "Huston" <huston_john[at]hotmail.com> wrote in message news:eYDkYH9lHHA.1244[at]TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... - quote - > This is what I did, and hopefully someone will tell me what I can and > can't do. | This is what I did, and hopefully someone will tell me what I can and can't do. I was working on a pc, and I ask what software they were wanting removed, and they said "money", and I removed it. Well, after I removed it, they said they wanted it back. I did a restore on the system, and now it is asking for the "money.msi" file. This is an OEM install, and they have no disk, and I can't open the archive files on the restore partition. This is with Money 2004 if that matters. When I run money it goes through the install process, and stops asking for the ".msi" file. I think it wants someone to agree to the license agreement again. What are my options to fix this? Is there someway to make it think I have agreed to the license agreement or is that something I shouldn't do? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks Huston |
