yeah you are correct, the "return of capital" as shown on my
investment statement actually had no real substance for me. It simplyl
reduced the book cost of the stock, as it's stated on the statement.

So the Return of Capital you had actually returned nothing? Did it reinvest
something so now you have more shares?

Default problem reporting "return of capital"

I recently had a transaction in which a stock reported a "return of
capital", that just reduced the book cost value of the stock. However,
when I selected "return of capital" option, Money instead reported it
like a dividend and put the amount into cash. How can I report this
properly? I am using Money Delux 2005.
