I don't know for sure if it would work. It would be good to test it> install Money 2007 will it be able to import and convert my quicken XG files > to Money files without me having to manually input all of my data all over > again? If 2007 won't do it is there a version of Money that will? with a trial download. Money 2007 is not sold in Canada. Money 2006 is. That's the way it is. You could buy Money 2006, and I expect the box to indicate that it should be able to convert your program. Read the small type on the box. If it does not work, there is a 30 or 60 day return privilege. If the retailer won't take it back, you could mail it to Microsoft. That would not be convenient if it came to that. Money 2007 Deluxe is available as a free download that you could test with. But after the trial period, you would have a problem upgrading from the trial, unless you shopped for Money 2007 in the US. Money is not downward compatible; Money 2006 will not use a Money 2007 file. Suppose the trial Money 2007 Deluxe did a successful conversion. In that case, you could uninstall Money 2007 Deluxe, and install Money 2006, which you could buy in Canada. I would expect the Money 2006 to be as successful at that conversion if Money 2007 was. If the Money 2007 Deluxe trial is unsuccessful, I would not be as confident one way or the other. If you try the conversion, change all custom types to standard Quicken types in Quicken beforehand. Any custom type will be converted to type Mutual Fund by Money. It is often suggested to do a Validate and a Super-validate in Quicken before the conversion. http://www.intuit.com/support/quicke.../win/6148.html seems to imply that there could be a problem with that. So you might try the conversion with and without doing that. |

| I am currently using Quicken XG 2005, the canadian version of quicken. If I install Money 2007 will it be able to import and convert my quicken XG files to Money files without me having to manually input all of my data all over again? If 2007 won't do it is there a version of Money that will? |
