Only Chase can tell you that _reliably_. It depends on the type of your
account, and different account products are available in different states.
Call and ask, or study the brochure with terms and fees that you received
when you opened the account. And while you at it, learn about _all_ fees
associated with your account - quite likely, this one is not the only
surprise.

I am in New York. I don't pay a fee BUT I keep a large minimum balance AND
I am a Chase (originally Chemical) customer for many years. I think that
you have to be **both** a legacy customer and keep a large minimum balance
to not pay the fee. New high minimum balance clients pay $6.95 / month.
Private Banking Clients (real high end) pay nothing. However, if you do
have a high minimum balance, I would bet that if you threatened to move your
account elsewhere, they would wave the $6.95 fee. Otherwise, I think you
should do your research and find a new bank that provides free downloads.

I use Chase and haven't seen that fee. What state are you in? Maybe it makes
a difference.

Default Chase Charged me $9.95 for using MS Money sync

Hi, after using Chase online synch process with my MS Money ’07 for nearly 4
months now, I was surprised to see the Chase had charged me a fee of $9.95
for April (it was free all this time!).

Can any Chase bank customer out there tell me if there is a way to avoid
this (besides having to log into their system manually and download the
statements to Money?)?

I love the automatic sync feature but it's almost ridiculous to pay $120 a
year to the bank!!
