You still might have to do some more things, but that should minimize the work. You could also try a level 2 standard file repair if you have not done so already. - quote - > Thanks for trying. |

Since the account is now empty, maybe I'll just delete it and recreate it. That will screw up my taxes a year from now, because there was activity in 2007. But if I just re-enter the 2007-related stuff by hand, that should take care of it. I'll lose older records, but I don't care so much about those. Thanks for trying. |

I would head over to the cash account register for that account.> "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup[at]please.tnx> wrote in message > news:cegq239ddgvgu4s751rjcljrill0esudvc[at]4ax.com... > > In microsoft.public.money, Paul Pedersen wrote: > > > I would start with File-> RepairMoneyFile-> QuickFileRepair. > Done. Does the balance change in any way as you change the View to show only unreconciled transactions or in some other way? If so, see http://support.microsoft.com/default...13&Product=mny |

The value for the whole account is now blank.> front of the account name, if it is not already expanded. > ChangePortfolioView-> ShowClosedPositions. Look at the Market Value > column. Is there a non-zero value there? Three investments are displayed, grayed out. Each has a value for Income, Price appreciation, and Gain, but the Quantity and Market value columns are blank. If I hide the closed positions again, the display reverts to the erroneous numbers. If I transfer in $100 from my checking account, the bogus balance is increased by $100. |

Expand the account by clicking the [+] in front of the account name, if it is not already expanded. ChangePortfolioView-> ShowClosedPositions. Look at the Market Value column. Is there a non-zero value there? |

| Money 2006 Premium I have a brokerage account from which I sold all the investments and withdrew all the cash. The account clearly shows no holdings and no cash, with an account value of zero as expected. I expect to add to this account eventually, and the broker is keeping it open with a zero balance. But in the Portfolio Manager, this account shows an account value of thousands of dollars! (Yet it still shows no investments and no cash.) What's going on, and how can I fix it? |
