| I followed your last procedure and it almost works. Meaning, when I go to the Allotment page, it says the minimum is $600 (it should actually be $789) and if I set it to $600, I don't get those thousands of dollars of extra allotments. But I still get them when I set it to a higher ammount (like the actual minimum) Would you like me to send you some screenshots? | LW, Put the % back in. And try a file repair. Make sure you open the repaired file and not the old file. In the new file reset the DPR again. See if it works now. It seems like it should be reset becasue of the ghost numbers, maybe a file repair will help. Give it try and let me know. I will try to recreate your problem on my end. | Yes, I did a reset. Ok, so I went in to each of the 10 accounts and removed the minimum payment info (both percentage and dollar ammount). Then moved over to the next page where you allocate funds, and it said I need a minimum of $418. That doesn't make sense because I set all minimums to zero? So I set it to $418 and moved to the bill page. It still was allocating thousands of more dollars than the $418. I even went and reset the DRP again and it's the same. | JFwallac, I am going to assume that you have already tried to reset the DPR. Check your settings on your credit cards. Go the 2nd page in the DPR. Double click on an account that is included. This will open a pop-up where you have set up the interest etc for the account. Do you have this page all filled in? Click on the amount for "Minimum paymnet" Do you have the anything filled in the area? If yes, try taking out the minimum payment amount. Let me know if this help. | Here's a similar issue in the DRP that resetting and repairing doesn't seem to fix. I have 10 debts I am managing. The total minimum payment for all ten debts is $754. On the slider bar page, at the top is says my monthly allocation minimum amount is only $579 (first problem). Then if I enter an amount of $579, then move forward two pages to the bills page, it allocates a total of $806 to my bills, where did it pull that extra $227? (second problem). Now, if I reduce the minimum allotted amount to $578 or less, it drops the bills to the correct minimum payments of $754 total. If I put $754 for my minimum allotted amount, the bill page then has $3,458 total! That's over $2,700 more than the minimum! I'm running Money 2007 Home & Business. I've seen this problem through the last three versions of Money (2005, 2006, 2007) but never questioned the error, just ignored it. Any thoughts on this? Anyone else have this issue too? | Thanks Cindy! I had the same problem (my problem was that even if I moved the slider all the way to 0 I was always applying a one time payment of 1033.00 to my Debt.) | Lonnie, Have you tried resetting the DRP? I am not sure where it would be in 2006, but in 2007 it is in Tools / Settings / Planner settings. I was having trouble in 2007 and resetting was my only option. | I've been having this problem for quite some time now and cannot justify buying ANOTHER upgrade until I know for sure one way or the other if this problem is correctible or not. At present I"m using money 2006 deluxe and am continuing to experience troubles with Debt Reduction Planner. It always says that I'm going to be out of debt at such and such a time if I pay X amount of dollars towards the debt. Example: Debt from one account being $3,248. There is NO forecast spending (not using the card). Forecasted Interest is $236. Total Spending & Interest $3,484. Money tells me that I will be out of debt by Dec 1, 2007. However if you take the monthly payment that I put in there, which is $350, and times that by the # of months between now and the out of date by month, it doesn't even total the Current Balance WITHOUT the interest. We all know that #'s do not lie, so what the heck is going on and can it be fixed? I have already read in the forums about some individuals being able to fix this same type of problem by "Repairing Money File" fromt he "File" menu, but that hasn't worked for me and the mathmatics are always wrong. Thank you for any help Lonnie |
