M2006 startup - active MSN content

Ahhh. If you don't have the Portfolio icon at the top for
navigation, you will want to click Shortcuts at the top, select
Portfolio from the Available list, and choose Add, OK.

If I make 'Money Home' my startup, THEN select " Investing Home' from
the left side menu, THAT's the screen I was talking about... see how the
MSN info appears, THAT's what I was referring to. If I'm offline, I
see - just my stuff with no delays. Online I get the MSN
ads/enhancements.

No need to beat a dead horse ... apparently no one else uses it. Again,
when I open Money, my intent is to see/update my portfolio. Maybe things
changed online since my early setup. I DID just change it back to 'Money
Home' and will just click Portfolio Manager on left. That gets me where
I want to be easily enough.

I think we were assuming that you were set to start at 'Money Home'.

On " My Money" homepage , all I have selected is 'Favorite Accounts'
and 'Bills/Deposits',
but when it starts I get that "glorified MSN spam" and the MSN ad of the
day on the right. I have
Tools-> Settings-> ProgramSettings-> (Display

StartMoneyWithThisPageOpen:InvestingHome .
So it presents the spam, while updating my investment prices. It then
shifts the spam below my stuff.

Why don't you customize the home page to remove the sections with the SPAM,
err, useful info?

Contrarian Chronicles
Market parties like it's March 2000
Accurate memories are in short supply in the marketplace, but greed
never is. Look back seven years to the mania and note that history

When I start Money 2006 with no network enabled it opens as I would
like. If the network is enabled, it loads this active content from IT'S
'home page': ( the URL that it goes to is)

I do NOT use Money Passport password etc - all my data is local so I
have no 'Alerts' enabled. I assume this network access is part of the
"MSN Advisor Service" to provide me with MSN news/ads: I have no need
for it. How to turn it off ? I don't want it to go to:
