I use:
http://www.treasurydirect.gov/indiv/...bondwizard.htm
It's an easy prg to use.
I setup a Savings Bond account in Money and once a year I check the
prices for my bonds in SBWiz and update Money. When I AM updating, I
also look at next interest period and enter that into Money. So if a
bond has an anniversary date of Feb 1 and generates interest on Feb 1
and Aug 1, I check both dates for that bond in SBWiz and enter both
amounts into Money at the same time. On a daily basis I don't show my
Sav Bonds account - only use it to check maturity dates / net worth
table etc.

There probably isn't one Best Way. See http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=42
for what I do/recommend.

Default US Savings Bonds

What is the best way to set up an account for US Savings Bonds in Money 2007?
The knowlegde base advises that you set up a cash account and use the
government web site for US bonds to occasionally update the value. Would that
be a better option than setting it up as an investment account?
Thanks in advance,
Bill
