It depends. If you use the method where you track actual shares, you
enter changes in the price per share. To do that, you can
right-click an entry that references the particular security, and
choose PriceHistory-> UpdatePrices-> UpdatePricesManually.

How do I track Market Gain (Loss) in MS Money? Do I handle that in the
investment transaction section, the cash contribution section? I'm having a
difficult time entering all the data on my statement into Money to get the
values to match up.

I think you are you tracking the shares that you buy and sell.

If tracking, normally a fee would be entered as a Sell of a holding
in the investment transactions to raise the cash and an expense in
the Cash/Contributions register to account for the fee.

If you want to allocate the fee to a particular investment, you
could enter an OtherExpense transaction into the Investment
Transactions register instead of the expense.

The value thing would be controlled by entering a price per share
value for the various holdings. So when the price comes down, the
value of the account comes down.

If this is not a 401k for a current employer, you might consider
finding a custodian that does download transactions to Microsoft
Money and who may not charge that fee.

Default Custodial Fees

My Investment company currently does not offer downloads into Microsoft Money
so I'm left to not tracking my investments or entering them manually. I'm
trying for the manual route but can't get the totals to match my statements.
Especially when it comes to Market (Loss) and the custodial fees and tracking
those in the investment fund. Can anyone provide some insight and guidance.
thanks
