Then you would look for the second account you process the transactions for to match to the then-existing transfer. For now, Delete or Void each non-transfer duplicate transaction in the bank account. Sorting the register (View by order of entrymight be of use. |

If your 'monkeys' read newsgroups you're likely to suffer from intentionalerrors. That might be justified if that's your attitude toward the people who work for you. |

| Hi Guys, I got advised to move from our current book keeping software to microsoft money 2007 hme and small business. We use PayPal and a bank account both of which we have to either import from a file provided by our online banking or get a monkey to type in the data manually (we had too for PayPal). After importing all the data I went to link up the paypal to bank transfers done over the past few months but when I go to change the withdrawal in paypal to a transfer to bank account category it adds an additional automatic transfer to the bank account register. So it basically looks like we had a deposit (which is the orignal record of the withdrawl going in) and the new automatically added record for the transfer. Is there no way to link them instead of automatically adding a transfer into the bank register.. Money is trying to be just to clever ![]() The easy option would be to remove the first record of the transfer in the bank account.. (ie the direct debit record).. sounds simple but with transfers they take a couple of days (up to 10 days in worse case senerio) but money doesnt allow for this.. As in the transfer from paypal to my bank account happens on the same day... This isnt the case and just screws up the account register at the times. (going in the minus figures). Hope someone can help me with a work around as now it feels like all the effort to get the data in is wasted ![]() -Chris |
