To best deal with this do these things:

Banking-> AccountTools-> Categories&Payees-> Payees-> GoToPayeeRulesManager.
Your downloaded transactions may come with some generic term where
the Payee should be. Excluded Payee Names identifies words and
phrases that should be ignored from the payee field (e.g., check,
deposit, purchase). Add words that are generically added by your
bank. Enter CHECKCARD as one of those excluded names.


Set Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServices-> ShowStandardizedPayeeNames to
combine payees that differ only by a number or punctuation.

You would probably still need to change transaction for CHECKCARD
0411 JOE'S PUB to JOE'S PUB the first time you eat at Joe's, and you
would set the category.

Hello. I do not understand you but I understand MM Delux. What are you doing
in McDonads? You are eting, so according to MM (and to me too) it is "dining
out". But if you go to the movie it will be "entertiment". You can put yours
category manually.

show as "CHECKCARD" + 4 digit date + payee. I would like them all to
come in as just the payee and then categorized however I set it up.

Example:

Transaction from bank:
CHECKCARD 0411 JOE'S PUB

What I want in Money:
Payee: Joe's Pub
Category: Entertainment

Is this possible?
