Then you might be able to paste that into a spreadsheet and generate a QIF file with the dividend transactions. That would be complex tho. File-> Export from the investment account to see what the transactions would look like. You would import as a recovered account. Keep an extra copy/backup of your file in case you want to undo something. Keep several copies as you go. Even if you did that, you would have to get rid of the then surplus transactions in the "Cash Transactions" register. |

| I have several dividend and sell transactions in my investment account. However, in the "Cash Transactions" register, some of these transactions, which should result in deposits to cash, show up instead as payments. Not all, just some of the transactions are incorrect. This is making my final cash balance completely wrong. This problem is briefly mentioned here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/889246/en-us ....but the suggested solution isn't applicable to me. I ported my Money 2003 or 2004 file a many years ago, have updated Money 2005, and the program usually works correctly for me. The only solution that has worked so far for me is to write down each "corrupted" transaction, delete them, and then re-enter each one by hand. For 8 years worth of investment data, that takes a very long time. Does anyone have a similar experience or possible solutions? |
