| I have a similar problem in Money 2006. i treid to add afield to a veiw and all of teh default feilds got deleted. Now when I "reset to defaults' the fields are added on the right but upon save they all disappear. When I try to add a new view it cannot be saved and I get an error mesasage and Money closes. Looks like a bug that carried over from 2007 to 2007 "Divefins" <Divefins[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:36DBDE4B-3EAB-48A9-A1DE-C0F6AC821AD1[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I have tried CustomizeThisView, SaveAs, CreateNew... > None of them work. | I have tried CustomizeThisView, SaveAs, CreateNew... None of them work. The Sample.mny file seemed to work correctly. Level 1 repair has the same message "No broken records in the original file." I think the file is corrupt in such a way that the repair utility cannot fix it. Odd. Have you tried CustomizeThisView?> It is acting like I am hitting the Cancel button instead of the Save button > when the list of views is displayed > Sequence of Events: > Select Portfolio Manager > Select Customize Any View in the Select View combo - quote - > Select the Create New button
You mean SaveAs I suspect.> (Note: All my investments are selected on this screen) > Deselect some accounts (does not appear to matter which ones or how many) > Select Save I would try the keyboard. Hit the enter key after typing in the name rather than using the mouse. I wonder if it is something odd about the mouse driver or settings. - quote - > Type in a name
Did you try the level 1?> Select OK > (Note: At this point, Money moves to the background - like I Alt-tabbed) > (Note: My saved view is listed on the Views dialog) > Select Done > (View goes back to standard, and my custom view is not listed in the Select > Views dialog) > BTW - Repair level 2 detected no broken records Does the same symptom happen when you run sample.mny? |

| No joy Cal. It is acting like I am hitting the Cancel button instead of the Save button when the list of views is displayed Sequence of Events: Select Portfolio Manager Select Customize Any View in the Select View combo Select the Create New button (Note: All my investments are selected on this screen) Deselect some accounts (does not appear to matter which ones or how many) Select Save Type in a name Select OK (Note: At this point, Money moves to the background - like I Alt-tabbed) (Note: My saved view is listed on the Views dialog) Select Done (View goes back to standard, and my custom view is not listed in the Select Views dialog) BTW - Repair level 2 detected no broken records Hope this helps "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Divefins wrote: > > 16.0.120.1303 > > XP Pro SP2 > > > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > > > In microsoft.public.money, Divefins wrote: > > > > > > I just upgraded from Money 2004 to 2007 Deluxe. That typically resides in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money 2007". Assuming the problem does not occur with that file, I would return to your regular Money file (you can use the list at the bottom of File). I would start with File-> RepairMoneyFile-> QuickFileRepair If the problem continues, File-> RepairMoneyFile-> StandardFileRepair level 2 If the problem persists, File-> RepairMoneyFile-> StandardFileRepair level 1 |

| I just upgraded from Money 2004 to 2007 Deluxe. All my investment accounts are there, but I cannot update any investment views. The only investment view with any data is Standard. When I try to Customize a view or create a new custom view, all my accounts are selects (checked), all other selections are defaulted. No data is displayed. When I create a custom view, it is not selectable from the view combo. Any suggestions? Divefins |
