| I am running XP Home. Nothing has changed on the machine that I can think of. I can see all my invoices except for the last 3 or 4. I created one this morning, printed it and it is not in the list. And yes I am saving them. I have been using MS Money for about two or three years and this is the first problem I have had. Unfortunately my backup have been written over with the missing invoices so they are of no help. I did not know they are separate files I will have to look when I get home tonight. Thanks Tom "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup[at]please.tnx> wrote in message news:9ron03d0mm1c8cqjaqgtvjv4bt9d344jfm[at]4ax.com... - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Tom Libby wrote: > > MS Money 2004 is loosing my invoices. Did you recently convert to Vista? There may be some permissions thing involving an invoice folder or file permissions. Vista has a tighter permissions model than XP. Here is an idea: Look in "C:\Users\All Users\Microsoft\Money\12.0\Invoice" If you don't find that, try "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Money\12.0" and see if you can see an Invoice folder. Check permissions and ownership of the files. If you use Windows Explorer, don't use the quotes. If you use a command window, do use the quotes. Each invoice, I was told, is a separate file. With Windows Explorer, set up to see the user and permissions. See if there is something different with the older ones. In particular, I was wondering if they were owned by a different user name. Let us know what you find out. I am not running Business, and I am still on XP, so I am not trying this out first. Another thing would be to run Money by right-clicking the launch icon, and choose RunAsAdministrator. See if you can see your invoices then. Here are a couple of KB articles that could somehow help, even if you are using XP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/899625/en-us http://support.microsoft.com/kb/890398/en-us |
