| touimet, First, make a copy, backup or both of your .mny file just in case. Then jot down any pertinent information in each transfer and delete it. The entries in the cash account will be removed when you delete the corresponding transfer. Ignore any dire warnings about deleting a reconciled entry. Then re-enter the deleted info as "Charges" Hope this helps. -Kevin P.S. Sorry, I couldn't resist this but spell check suggested I change touimet to toilet. <touimet[at]gmail.com> wrote in message news:1174730417.053800.240000[at]y80g2000hsf.googlegroups.com... - quote - > I accidentally defined a number of credit card transactions as > transfers to a cash account. | I accidentally defined a number of credit card transactions as transfers to a cash account. The problem is, Money 204 will not allow me to simply edit the credit card transactions to re-define them as charges as opposed to transfers. When I try editing the "To" account, I get an error message... "If you do not want a transfer, click Cancel and then choose a different type of transaction. No matter what I click, the transaction remains a transfer. The credit card transactions are reconciled but the cash account is not. I expect this should be simple but short of deleting the transactions and re-creating them, I can't find out how to make the change. I even tried deleting the transaction from the cash account but it tells me that it's going to delete the reconciled part of the transaction as well. Any help appreciated, touimet[at]gmail.com |
