| Closing this one off. This got traced back to a "corrupted" MNY file. Not sure what that means. I went back to a backup and found I was unable to restore a number of backups and they were of a very small size compared to my file and the historical backups I had. I went back a few weeks and found one that was "restorable" and it worked. There's no answer to the problem, but the problem is now in my past. I did get on a chat with MSFT and they walked me thru this and got me to the answer, which is go back to the most recent good backup you have. Error messages not very good for the problem, but if you do get this and can't trace it back to some mouse issue, try looking back to see if there's a strange pattern in the backups you took. It may be a sign of some type of corrupted file. |

| I just had the same problem (except mine tracked to a Cabinet.dll file.) I took out the dynex wireless mouse and keyboard based on the earlier post. Restarted with just a usb trackball and it worked. You may want to reintstall and tell it not to use a password and cancel out of the Live Connect stuff. when it asks for it. What is even weirder is that I plugged wireless back in after I restored and updated..... itis working fine Jim "Rames9" <Rames9[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:6A76381D-F9A7-4810-B017-E66CDAE6C3C5[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Removed Bluetooth mouse and keyboard from the system, rebooted. | Removed Bluetooth mouse and keyboard from the system, rebooted. This time I got the error that the password was screwed up and it would not take the password. I then restored from a good backup and it immediately crashed when it opened up. Not so good. Trying to get some Microsoft help. Wish me luck. |

| I have a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. I actually even installed the latest version of the Logitech software just to see if that did it, even though I don't have a Logitech mouse. Desperate times!!! I'll remove the keyboard and mouse and try a standard one to see if that works. In testing it, I did remove the mouse from the system to see if that would work and just started Money using the keyboard, but I'll get the Bluetooth out of the picture and try that. I've had the keyboard/mouse on the system for a couple of years. |

| Since it seems related to mouse movement, what mouse do you have? Have you tried updating the drivers for that mouse? Or tried removing any special/extra utilities that may have come with it? In the case of the Logitech confict, I've heard that Logitech has actually released an update that fixes the issue. There may a similar fix from the manufacturer of your mouse. The only other reference to a crash in ntdll.dll that I'm aware of has to do with programs setting the environmental variable nlspath. Resetting it to null may resolve it. | Also having this happen on a Vista Ultimate box. Here's my event viewer text. Faulting application msmoney.exe, version 16.0.0.1303, time stamp 0x459cb23b, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6000.16386, time stamp 0x4549bdc9, exception code 0xc00000fd, fault offset 0x00042e72, process id 0x13a8, application start time 0x01c7830547322592. Didn't have Logitech SetPoint software, reset all my IE7 settings. Had Vista and IE7 and Money 2007 running for 3 weeks before this started happening. Uninstalled and re-installed Money 2007. It updated to the latest SP for Money on first logon. Still has same behavior. Strange thing is that when I Sign In, it doesn't crash immediately if I put my mouse or window focus on another application. So if I have IE and Money open, if I Sign In and immediately go to IE, it doesn't crash. But the second I move the mouse onto the Money window or move to it with an Alt-Tab, I get the crash. Tried to send an email to Microsoft using their support mechanism, but it failed to with a message that told me to try back in a few minutes!!! :-( |

Uninstalled Logitech SetPoint software and now it works like a champ. Thanks for the help! Jason |

About the only thing left I can come up with is to format and reinstall XP. Just wondering if there's any alternative... Thanks! Jason |

I'd love to hear suggestions! Thanks! Jason |
