| That's the spirit! I kept on beating it up until it (sorta) succumbed to my bidding. It's weird, but the requested payment in Bills & Payments for each of my accounts ALWAYS winds up differing by a few dollars -- one direction or the other -- from what the original schedule specified. I'm afraid that this feature, like many others in this software, is not ready for prime time. I'm sorry that my suggestions weren't useful. | No, I nuked my bills, changed the amount i want to pay each month, and the date I want to be out of debt. All scenarios end with the first 2 months inflated. I am still trying though. | I found that if I entered a value in the "how much to pay monthly" that caused the figures to inflate. I just setup my bills and that seemed to work. | Hi, I'm not going to pretend to be any kind of expert at this. I'm just going to ask a question in the faint hope that I may be of some aid, and to let you know that there is someone else out there who commiserates with you in having to use this miserable POS (piece of software). The DRP is not all of that and a bag of chips. A bag of chips is worth more. Nonetheless, I did finally arrive at a quirky sort of half-understanding with it. There is a point in setting up the DRP where it asks you how soon you want to be out of debt and / or gives you the choice of telling it how much additional you have to spend on reducing the debt. If I recall correctly (I'm not at a machine with Money on it now.) that money amount it's asking for is actually it (Money) asking you how much EXTRA you can put towards the paydown in the FIRST MONTH. You might go back through that whole dialog to be sure that you were understanding correctly what was being asked. (I did quite a bit of head-scratching in setting up DRP and had to go through the setup several times before I got a halfway-reasonable schedule.) Other things that might affect how much you're expected to pay each month in the schedule: 1. if one or more credit cards are marked to be paid in full each month, especially if you've also entered an expected expenditure amount each month for the card 2. if the minimum payment required is, for some reason, greater than allowed for initially To be frank, financial stuff gives me headaches. I'm a danged geologist and physicist by training and a systems analyst by profession right now. But the personal finance packages I've seen lately absolutely stump me! (And I don't think it's entirely my fault.) Let's hope someone smarter and with more experience with this POS (piece of software, I have to keep repeating) will come along and be truly helpful to you.
