Money will not close properly

You can find a few suggestions if you search this newsgroup's history on
Google Groups. No one seems to have a 100% reliable solution. My own "fix"
is to not touch the keyboard or mouse after telling Money to go ahead and do
it's backup when closing. When I'm careful about that, Money almost always
closes itself.

Worked for me with Money 2007.

Sorry. I followed this advice and it fails. My file doesn't close about 1 of
10 times. I wouldn't mind, but my wife is fearfull of the task manager and so
gets pissed at me if she can't open the file (when it is hung up). Thank you

Posted this once before without success. Advice was to use repair function
but this does not fix.
Problem is - after using the program, I use either 'file close' or the top
corner 'X' to exit. I get a message 'cannot be performed' and Money appears
to close. If during the same session I try to re-open Money, I get 'Money is
already running'. However the program does not appear on screen. Only cure
is to shut down the PC and re-boot.
Anyone got a solution ???
