| What is the target MS Money 2006 version? I'm having issues with associating an online service with one of my accounts and want to be sure I'm not having an issue. As well, I do run NAV and have since before MS Money was installed (reinstalled due to OS Crash) but my software is retail box. Do I still have the issue? Ok. I now realize 15.0.6.513 is the Money 2006 downloaded installer> money files to update, but nothing happens if I leave it running. program that has not yet been updated to the purchased level. What you will need to do is, 1. If you run Norton, uninstall Norton. (users report "disable" is insufficient.) If other software firewall, make sure it passes the info. 2. You will have to open a file with the same LiveID/Passport that you used when you purchased the upgrade. You could do this by opening an existing file that uses that LiveID/Passport, or you could create a new file for the purpose. In that resolution, create a NEW empty file (named perhaps Temp.mny) that you put the referenced Passport onto. Close Money. Restart Money. http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;889930 has good info for you. 3. Reinstall/re-enable the Norton or other firewall. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, capt601 wrote: > > > > I am using money 2006 version 15.0.6.513 . > > > > > I do not have a sample file in the money 2006 folder. If running Vista, and I suspect you are, see> I do not have a sample file in the money 2006 folder. What I would do is to make sure that your *.mny and backup files are not in a protected area, such as ProgramFiles. One safe place is in your Documents/MyDocuments folder. Then run Money at least once as administrator, by right-clicking, as I posted in the other thread. You probably don't need to run the Sample.mny file, in your case, but Sample.mny may be in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money 2006" on your computer. If running Vista, you would want to copy it to your Documents/MyDocuments folder before use. Most people are not running Vista yet, so it would probably be a good idea to point that out when posting a question, for a while.... if you are indeed running Vista. | I am using money 2006 version 15.0.6.513 . I do not have a sample file in the money 2006 folder. It was a downloaded program. should I just try a new file for money to use, then switch back to my file? thanks "Art McClinton" wrote: - quote - > Sounds like you have the original money 2006 with out the patches that came > out later. | Sounds like you have the original money 2006 with out the patches that came out later. I would start with the sample file that is on the disk to allow money to download the patches. I am assuming that you have loaded money and are trying to run the former data file. I happen to have accounts at both Citibank and Bank of America and remember that in Aug/Sept 05 I had similar difficulties until the Money update came out. What version of Money 2006 are you attempting to reload?
