| To do this, I create a recurring transaction (the paycheck) and have it automatically entered into the ledger. Then when the download occurs, M06 matches the transactions, and I only need to do some fine tuning on the individual amounts. Thanks for the info Cal Learner. But what about my direct-deposited> and they are the same each time. I've been putting them in as paychecks, and trying to track all the deductions and employer matching retirement funds. But then when I look at the categories assigned to that payee, it splits each deposit into multiple transactions, with different categories (one as paycheck, and two as transfer to retirement funds (my contribution and my employer's contribution). Is it possible for Money to remember all that info next time I import transactions that include paychecks, or do I have to input all that stuff myself? Thanks again for the help. |

Go to Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServiceSetting and select ShowStandardizedPayeeNamesForWhichANameIsNotFound. This may improve things if the Payees are coming in differing by a number each time. |

| Hi, I'm using Money 2005, and I'm loving it. Except, when I import an ofx file from my bank accounts, I have to assign all the categories for every transaction manually. Shouldn't I be able to get money to remember what categories I assigned previously for each payee, and automatically use those? Thanks in advance for the help. |
