| Cal is correct, Money 2002 imports manually downloaded statement data perfectly. I use M2002 and can still use direct downloads (click Internet Updates in Money) for Citibank accounts but I manually download statement data from all other banks, brokers etc. Simply go the bank's webpage and follow the download procedure (specifying Money format as opposed to Quicken, etc) and Money will then import the downloaded file automatically. Super fast and easy. M2002 also still imports stock quotes perfectly when you click Internet Updates from within Money. I intend to keep using M2002 forever since I like it much better than newer versions - even if I have to type transaction data in manually. ![]() Regards Bill Wood "flint" <flint[at]f2s.com> wrote in message news:1174118279.747693.251990[at]b75g2000hsg.googlegroups.com... - quote - > I bought MS Money 2002 Financial suite when it was the curent version > but stopped being organised a couple of years ago. No. What it means is that you can not set up downloads for a new> but stopped being organised a couple of years ago. Getting the setup data for a new institution in Money 2002 required getting the setup data from a Microsoft server, and Microsoft stopped providing that server already. The ones set up in a file would continue to operate as long as the FI provided the same servers. - quote - > Or is it less critical and refers to download of other data i.e.
Downloading prices works until it doesn't. As far as I know it works> shares updates etc? today. - quote - > I'll try to keep using my version of Money providing I can still
That works.> import statement data (even if it's by manually importing a separately > downloaded bank file somehow). - quote - > All feedback appreciated. Help! |

| I bought MS Money 2002 Financial suite when it was the curent version but stopped being organised a couple of years ago. I reinstalled it yesterday on my latest PC as I have need to get my finances clarified. So, a new installation and with no real interest in reopening an old file. Trying to set up with the bank fails with something like "Can't connect now, check your internet settings etc etc" Looking on this forum it looks like my version of Money no longer allows that interaction. Before I bin it can I have further clarification please? Does this mean that I can no longer download a bank statement from my bank? Or is it less critical and refers to download of other data i.e. shares updates etc? I'll try to keep using my version of Money providing I can still import statement data (even if it's by manually importing a separately downloaded bank file somehow). All feedback appreciated. Help! Thanks Flint. |
