Is it possible to define the default sort order somehow?

The workaround I'm using is to assign prefix numbers to all categories,
accounts etc. to force through a specific sort (i.e. "1 Tax", "2 Rent", "3
Food") but that is not a very elegant solution, and you're not able to simply
typy 'f-o-...' if you want the food category, you have to remember it is
called '3-f-o...'.

Does somebody have a better idea?
