OK, I figured out how to 'merge' two or more accounts by using the 'move'
function. However when I download a new statement Money does not match the
original name to the 'new' name -- it appears in the account register exactly
as it does in the bank statement, not with the new name.

So there is obviously still something I'm not doing right...

relevant payees and click Add.

As it is I can't figure out how the 'Add a Payee Name Variation' dialog box
works. If I choose 'Payee Group Alias' as the 'Payee name' and 'Payee 1' as
the 'Payee Name Variation' I get the message that 'Payee 1' is already in use
and I need to enter a different name. If I do the opposite ('Paye Name' =
'Payee 1', 'Payee Name Variation' = 'Payee Group Alias') then I can create
the first match but when I try to do the second ('Paye Name' = 'Payee 2',
'Payee Name Variation' = 'Payee Group Alias') I get the same error message as
before: name already in use.

Can somebody please explain to me step-by-step what I should do?
