| Thanks for your response Dick. This might work for some of my pre-authorized payments that have the same payment amount from month to month (like my car payment) - I'll have to try this. However, my utilities and some other items have a variable amount so I am not sure if this would work. Has anyone out there done this successfully? | One way--may not work if the Payee mapping gets in the way--is to have the pre-authorized ones scheduled in Bills and then hoping Money will "match" these up by date/amount. Others will pile on the thread who are dealing with this issue. I just enter the data by hand and skip all of these complications associated with downloaded data. | Hello, I'm a trail user of MS Money Deluxe and I noticed that when I download my bank information from Merrill Lynch into MS Money 2007 there is a payee called "PRE-AUTHDEBIT." This is for my pre-authorized withdrawals such as my utilities, car payments, membership payments. Even if I manually change the categories for each individual transaction, the next time I import data, the category that all transactions associated with PRE-AUTHDEBIT goes to is always utilities which is not what I want. The "memo" field actually contains useful information that could be used to properly auto-categorize the transactions but I don't know how to make MS Money use this field instead of PRE-AUTHDEBIT for these transactions. Anyone know how to fix my dilemma? |
