| Fantastic! That did it and also improved the speed of doing anything with my money file. I hadn't tried a repair yet and it looks like I was in dire need of it. I then disabled online services, deleted the 2nd account, rematched them re-enabling online services and I'm back in business! Many thanks, -Jim On 3/16/07 11:25 AM, in article #0TaAf#ZHHA.3968[at]TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl, "Cindy Conover" <cconover[at]kwfffftrucklease.com> wrote: - quote - > Have you tried deleting your temp internet files and/or repairing your Money > file? | Have you tried deleting your temp internet files and/or repairing your Money file? For some reason this helps with a lot of problems. | It gets worse. When I attempt to disable the online services for my bank, it starts the action then sort of hangs (using 0% CPU) and eventually it comes back to the same OK/Cancel screen asking me if I want to disable online services. Any ideas? | Disable your online services and then merge the duplicate accounte. Ignore the warning about lost info. I have not lost any info in the past. After they are merged enable your online again. Hopefully this will work. | So my bank (thanks a lot bank) changed a suffix part of my account number that was linked for online updates. Money tried to work with this by creating another account with the new number tied to that bank. End result is my downloaded transactions are going to the duplicate account instead of merging into my original one. I tried doing something creative like changing the account number of the old one, but it did not help. What do I need to do to get the original account back updating again with the new account number? I can't merge because they are both online accounts (one isn't offline). I don't want to export/import because my original account has 8 years of transactions in it and is quite large. I read an old KB article about disabling the online updates for that bank, changing the account number and then re-enabling them. Is that a good solution? What headaches will I have? Will it pick up that all the past transactions besides the past few days have been downloaded already? Will it let me delete or change the new account it made so it won't get in the way? Thanks for your help, -Jim |
