| Yes, It is asking about a Payee named "check number xxx" After I edit the "check number xxx" to the correct Payee name is when it asks: If I want to rename all checks with that number to this name. I have to edit every check that I download to a correct Payee name. Why does it ask me that. It just started doing that recently. I have always been able to edit & accept. Is there a check box option somewhere that has changed? -- Barry www.beamalarm.com "Mark" wrote: - quote - > Are you sure it's actually asking about all with that check number? > I suspect it is actually asking about a Payee named "check number xxx" > i.e. the download from your bank is not using a real Payee name but is > simply putting a text string with that check number in the Payee field. > -Mark > "beamone" <beamone[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:3F47406F-D33B-41BB-802A-91909EDECFA5[at]microsoft.com... > > That did solve the problem. | Are you sure it's actually asking about all with that check number? I suspect it is actually asking about a Payee named "check number xxx" i.e. the download from your bank is not using a real Payee name but is simply putting a text string with that check number in the Payee field. -Mark "beamone" <beamone[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:3F47406F-D33B-41BB-802A-91909EDECFA5[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > That did solve the problem. | That did solve the problem. I dont know how that setting could have changed. I only have one credit card account. The rest are Investmant Accounts. Maybe that is why it only effected that one account. I dont know. I am getting another problem. Everytime I edit the Name on a downloaded check MS asks if I want to rename all checks with that number to this name. Why this warning & how to I turn it off. There can only be 1 check with that number anyway. -- Barry www.beamalarm.com "Michael Gordon" wrote: - quote - > That setting is not account specific -- if it's enabled for one dataset, it > will then govern all datasets. > -- > Michael Gordon > "beamone" <beamone[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:B34D5BB4-DF97-4183-AD71-10C73EA64705[at]microsoft.com... > > Yes, but they are older transactions that I havent catogorized yet. | That setting is not account specific -- if it's enabled for one dataset, it will then govern all datasets. -- Michael Gordon "beamone" <beamone[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B34D5BB4-DF97-4183-AD71-10C73EA64705[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Yes, but they are older transactions that I havent catogorized yet. | Yes, but they are older transactions that I havent catogorized yet. It was working properly & I dont know how or why it has changed recently. I cant think of anything that I am doing differently. I did find a message dated 7-20-05 that you gave a response to & you said : Take a look at Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServices-> AutomaticallyAccept... I have done that & found that the box was checked. I uncheck it & am waiting for new transactions to see if that works. It worked for the previous poster. I dont know how it could of changed if that turns out to be the culprit. Thank You -- Barry "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, beamone wrote: > > After I do Online updates, I go to each Account to reconcile the transactions. > > Recently my A/X card does not show all the downloaded transactions in BOLD > > for me to see which are the new charges to catogorize. Does the AccountList say you have transactions to read for AMEX?> Recently my A/X card does not show all the downloaded transactions in BOLD > for me to see which are the new charges to catogorize. | After I do Online updates, I go to each Account to reconcile the transactions. Recently my A/X card does not show all the downloaded transactions in BOLD for me to see which are the new charges to catogorize. Is there a setting that has been changed? The other Accounts still act properly and the new transactions are BOLDED until I accept them. -- Barry |
