I haven't tried this yet but I was thinking about setting up an investment
account for gifted shares. Then sell theshares from that account and use the
cash transactions side of the account to record the gift to charity. I'll
let you know if that works. I would have to set the account up as
non-taxable, I think.

How is the best way to handle donations of stock from the portfolio to
charities? It the past I have just used the remove shares option and then
manually entered the value in the tax area. Is there a better or easier way
to do this where it would be automatic. Thanks for any ideas.
