Yes Mark that worked. I set it to backup to my E drive which is my burning
drive, and money automaticly recet the path correctly for the windows CD
burning wizard so everything working fine now. Thanks

> Got it straight from a Microsoft Tech. Money will not let you backup to

anything but a CD. It was never meant to backup to a DVD, so that is not a
bug it's just how it works. He said it's because money uses Windows CD
burning wizard for it's backups and Windows CD Burning wizard does not do
DVD's. He also said that Money often has a problem if you are trying to burn
a CD on a combo CD/DVD burner rather than a straight CD only burner, thogh my
dual burner had no problem. Of course you could always just go into your My
money Backup folder and manually backup to a DVD with Nero or whatever DVD
burning software you use.

Do you happen to know if they corrected the bug if you attempt to backup to
removable media (like cd or dvd) that has more than 1GB of free space
remaining and the backup won't work?

Try changing the backup path directly to the CD.
Vista actually can burn on the fly.

Default Money Premium Backups with Vista?

Ever since I upgraded from Windows XP to Vista I cannot figure out how to get
Money Premium 2007 to backup to a CD anymore. It is set to backup to CD
every 14 days, but it only backsup to my hard drive. It no longer tells me I
have any files to burn to CD. When I check my settings The Automatic backup
when windows closes is OK the file path is : "C:\My Downloads\My Money Backup
Backup" However the "Perform scheduled backup every 14 days" has the path set
as "C:\Documents and Settings\Steve\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\CD Burning\My Money Backup Backup". Money keeps giving me an
Error message that this path is invalid. I tried reinstalling money over
itself hoping it would create the correct path, but it just keeps carring
over that same pathway. Apparently Vista does not use the same path for
burning CD's that XP did. What path does Vista use to burn CD's and how can
I get money to setup for this updated pathway. Thanks.
