I tried all of your suggestions, but the problem continues. Is there a way
of stopping the update and just doing it manually?

Thanks

Check that the SSL2 protocol is enabled. That checkbox may be in
IE Tools-> InternetOptions-> Advanced. If that was unchecked, open
Money and let it continue.

If running Vista, open Money as administrator.

If SSL2 was already enabled, or the above does not fix it, with
Money closed, in Internet Explorer delete your browser temporary
files with
Tools-> InternetOptions-> DeleteFiles or
Tools-> InternetOptions-> Delete-> DeleteFiles.

Then in Money do File-> RepairMoneyFile-> QuickFileRepair again.

If that does not do it, consider
File-> RepairMoneyFile-> StandardFileRepair level 2.

Default Money 2006 updating for hours

Won't let me process a scheduled transaction, says that I have to wait for
update to finish. I have done quck repair, rebooted the computer several
times. It won't shut down normally either. I just migrated from 2005 a few
days ago.

Thanks for your help
