I am running XP with IE7 and Microsoft Money 2007 Deluxe. Sorry for not mentioning it. Previously I had only tried the standard level 2. I just went through the quick, standard level 1, and standard level 2. No errors noted on any of the levels. I then tried the nuke bills and it once again failed. I then restored the backup I made just prior to the nuke and did an archive back to 1/1/2000 ( same date I did when I thought archive was the thing to do). This lowered the file size from 32M to 31M. Tried the nuke bills again with same error. I only have 25-30 bills. Most going back many versions of Money. Some are using now illegal formats. (I have some mutual fund purchases that do not fill in anything except the total amount) I am tempted to remove them all and try the nuke again. Thanks for the help. At least I cleaned up all those custom reports I had not used for years. Art |

You might try the bill removal with a minimum of things running (perhaps running with a "clean boot". You are running XP with IE7 and Microsoft Money 2007 Deluxe? And regarding archiving, a wild one that would be unlikely to help your symptom, but should not hurt is to archive, but specify a date that pre-dates all of your transactions. Sorry for the delay. |

| I attempted to repair my money file by removing all bills (often referred to as nuke bills) and received an error message that Money had difficulty either reading or writing my money file. When I click send error message I received a response that obres:1 was not in the knowledge base. I next did a full file repair (which found no errors) and the new file generates the same pattern. Any suggestions appreciated. I know that my bills have had many versions. Many of them have existed for 8 years. Art |
