Default RE: Exercise options

Hello Rick,

I had the same issue. You want to exercise and sell. I know there is no
button for "exercise" Not sure why?

Then, I assume you are holding the stock (this is what I was doing).

1. If you are simply holding your shares, then you will want to make one
more entry. This is to record the purchase of the stock. You will show the
purchase price as the strike price of the shares. If you are using your own
money to purchase the stock (strike price greater than 0) then you will need
to transfer the cash from another account in money to cover the purchase.

In my case, I was recording a stock grant. So, I "excersised and sold" the
vested amount at $0's (this was the strike price). (I removed any reference
to a "transfer to account"). Then, I purchased the stock back at the vested
Fair Market Value (this is to track taxes) with no transfer account (since no
cash was used in the transaction).

Kind of clunky solution if you ask me.

I hope this helps,

Ken

Gee, thanks. If that operation was offered, I would have picked it from the
dropdown. It's not.

Default Exercise options

In Money 2007, I can Vest options, or Exercise and Sell options, but I don't
have a choice to just Exercise options. Many times you exercise the option
and keep the stock for a while.

Can someone help?
