 Re: Microsoft Money Essentials, problems restoring I think it's time for a FAQ entry on this. Opening legacy Money files is not essential enough for Money Essential (MEss). Money Essentials will not read your 2004 file. If you can install> 2004 file from my old computer onto a CD and tried to import it into Money > Essentials and it says it can't do it because it's a different version. Otherwise you will need Money Deluxe 2007 or above to read that file. So the Money Essentials install is not going to be of use to you. |

| Microsoft Money Essentials, problems restoring I just got a new laptop with Money Essentials on it. I backed up my Money 2004 file from my old computer onto a CD and tried to import it into Money Essentials and it says it can't do it because it's a different version. Am I going to lose all my data and have to start over? Any help would be appreciated Thanks! |
