I'd bet he does. I'd be surprised if he even knows Microsoft has a product
named Money.

I need to vent from time to time, so I guess it is.

But in the back of my mind I'm hoping that Bill Gates actually does give a
sh$t about software quality (as opposed to hyping the concept of software
quality).

Is that a rhetorical question?

I feel your pain. I'm a keyboard-oriented guy, but I gave up totally on
trying to use the keyboard for anything but data entry in this application.
Hell, I'd give 'em the stupid user interface mistakes gratis if they could
just fix the consarned thing so it wouldn't crash every other time I try to
reconcile a statement.

This application is an example of a develpment team taking a bad idea and
running with it. They're so damned focused on their business model and the
concept of "rendering" everything that they've "rendered" the application
freaking near useless!

Default Mny 2006: sloppy programming

Anybody ever notice that in a capital gains report, right clicking a
transaction pops up a list that will include various things like Export to
Excel, and Reallocate Lots. The quick key is 'r' for each of these actions
and the export to excel is always taken because it is first in the list (I
assume), which pops up a file window immediately so 'r' followed by 'r' won't
select the other (reallocate) option.

Does anybody at MS ever use this software?
