M03 (and I'm assuming M04) will not store the state of a transaction when
scheduling a transaction from an entry already in the register. So, a
reconciled transaction that is scheduled will enter back into the register
with no cleared or reconciled flag. That's the good news. The bad news is
that a transaction scheduled with M02 with this problem will still have this
problem in M03 (M04?) and will still need to be deleted and recreated.

This is not a glitch, rather money is trying to be
helpful. it is a feature called automated balancing. What
is happening is when you download statements from your
bank it is automatically reconsiling the transactions
because it can balance your account. To turn it off: Next
time you downlad a statement, do not accept anything. On
the left hand paine of your account register, you will see
an option for "perform automated balancing". Click on that
and then check do not automatically balance this account.
This setting is turned on for each account seperatley so
you have to turn it off for each account that it is doing
it to. Hope this helps.
P.S. you will still have to unreconsile transactions one
more time after doing this.

I have had a problem with transactions in my account
register showing up as reconciled when they are not.
This has happened to me more than once, and to a friend
as well. It is highly improbable that I mistakenly
marked them reconciled myself, since it takes several
key/mouse strokes to do so and this has happened multiple
times.

I don't understand how this can happen and the starting
balance for the next reconciliation be correct? In other
words, how in the heck am I balancing?

I'm thinking there must be a glich in the program
somehow...does anyone know of an update I can download
that will correct this? I'm using Money 2002, v 10.0.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
