FIXED IT “reconciled“. Reconciled the transaction, selected all accounts to be archived and this time it stayed responsive and removed the data. Sorry Microsoft my bad |

| Many of us will not advise people about archiving because we think it is an inherently evil feature of the application and can lead to no good things. My file is 50+MB. It ran like a slug on valium under M06. M07 adds a feature that, with a lot of work, restores performance for many people to respectable levels with no significant data loss. That's more than Archiving has ever been able to say. | I am trying to archive my 2004 checking, saving and credit card transactions. I don’t have any investment accounts set-up which is documented as being a no-go when archiving. If I try to archive all accounts the program makes a backup then goes non-responsive. If I try to archive an individual account the program makes a backup and completes the operation but the archived date is not removed. My current file sizes is 9,000 KB and the program is becoming noticeably slower. Any advise on how to get this data off would be much appreciated. thanks pedro |
