Transaction matching is usually pretty accurate, but at the end of the day, it's basically Money making a guess. Sometimes it guesses wrong. This is why the "Change" button is provided on every downloaded transaction - it's right next to the "Accept" button. This allows you to tell money when it guessed wrong. Money has a feature which allows you to automatically accept all downloaded transactions. Turning this feature on is usually a mistake. In Money 04, it's you'd get to it by doing: 1. Tools -> Options, 2. Online Services Tab 3. "Automatically accept all downloaded transactions from banking statements" Unless you trust Money's ability to guess a whole lot more than I do, it's really best to turn this off. I don't know where this features is available in Money 05, but I'm sure it's in there. |
