| Hi there, Now I'm left wondering how we have it here. The MS UK web site offers 2006 but is that misleading? Guess I'll have to go and buy the 2005 version as it isn't very dear is there anywhere were it can be bought online and downloaded? Many thanks, Tim. | Tim, a warning. M2006 is a US version and if at some future time MS decide to produce another UK version you will not be able to read your M2006 file into that version. Money is heavily localised and files produced in one regional version do not work in a different region. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. I do not respond to any emails that I have not specifically asked for. | Hi there,, Many thanks for that info I found we had Money 2006 Deluxe sitting in the office so have loaded that and it seems to work on Vista Ultimate and I can transfer my Quicken files into it. Just like the Quicken layout for the Inventory which doesn't work in the same way in Money 2006 but guess if I want to use Vista I'll have to get used to Money. One odd thing I am surprised at how much the Money interface and Front Page resembles Quicken, odd? Again many thanks, Tim. | Tim I have Money 2005 (UK edition) running on Vista Ultimate and it seems to work fine. The only thing I noticed is you need to be logged in as an Admin the first time you launch it so you it can go off and download then install updates to Money from the Internet. After that you can logon as your normal user account and it's fine. Or should I say everything that I've tried to do works OK for me. :-) One other thing I've found is that after the updates are applied to Money it wants to upgrade a Money file when you start it again. My money file was already upgraded on another PC, so I just created a dummy file let it do the upgrade and then I was able to open my previous Money file fine. Probably not a problem for you - if you're starting from a new file. Hope that helps Chas "Tim" <erat[at]NOSPAMblueyonder.co.uk> wrote in message news:e0oNDe7SHHA.4076[at]TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... - quote - > Hi there, > I have Quicken XG-2004 and cannot run it on Vista as we live in the UK the > only version of Money I can find is MS Money 2005. > Does anyone know if Money 2005 UK version is compatible with Vista and > can I transfer all my Quicken XG-2004 files across to Money 2005? > Many thanks, Tim. |
