| Glad it worked, Bill, and it should work automatically in the future. It does for me, so I'm hoping you encountered unique problem, probably caused by the alignment of the planets, what color socks you were wearing, ........... -- Michael Gordon "Bill Bailey" <BillBailey[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B16923EF-F2C6-45B5-9B0B-2C5F2AE42B45[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Michael, this did the trick. | Michael, this did the trick. In my prior experience using Money and other FI's, downloaded transactions seemed to "automatically" match themselves up with transactions already in the register, so this is what threw me off with Amex. Is there anything I can do to enable Money to automatically try matching the Amex transactions...or will I be stuck doing a manual match-up process? | Have you tried this? Instead of deleting them, match them with the transactions already there. The "change" option will get you there. Then, after doing the match, a subsequent download should not bring in them again. -- Michael Gordon "Bill Bailey" <BillBailey[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:64171B11-8E2B-4318-944B-47B5D7496B34[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Michael, I perform the download within Money. | Michael, I perform the download within Money. I click "Connect to Bank", then "Update now". The transactions appear in the Money account register automatically after the "update now" task is completed. I mentioned the Amex website because I thought it might be important to see if they documented how the perform downloads within Money. | How do you perform the download, Bill - from within Money? Or by going to the Amex website? -- Michael Gordon "Bill Bailey" <BillBailey[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:95FBFD9A-354C-4578-8F05-EA71028C6F8F[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I have setup online access to several financial institutions with Money > 2005. > I am having a problem with American Express downloads. | I have setup online access to several financial institutions with Money 2005. I am having a problem with American Express downloads. Every time I connect for an update, Amex downloads recent (< 1 week) transactions that are already in the Money account register. If I immediately delete these transactions and perform another update, Amex downloads them again. I do not know what type of transaction Amex provides to Money (QIF or OFX) but their website seems to imply QIF. Is there a way to tell? Any advice about how to fix this problem would be appreciated. Thanks! |
