| So today when adding some transaction in Money 2006, the numbers for the running balance didn't look right. Took some time, but then found out what happened. Some how, it added an entry dated over a year ago that had a deposit and then caused a chain reaction that upped the running balance making it wrong. In trying to initially figure out what was going on, I backed up the current file, imported an old backup and then found the error, the re-imported the initial one that I was working with that was most up to date and let it over write everything and then proceeded to delete that entry causing the problem. Seemed to fix things until I tried to enter new transactions. It wouldn't do it. What I mean is that I would enter all of the date then pressed enter and it would error. The error looks like this: Details Event ID: obres:7891 Source: 15.0 We're sorry There is no additional information about this issue in the Error and Event Log Messages or Knowledge Base databases at this time. You can use the links in the Support area to determine whether any additional information might be available elsewhere. ------------------------------------------ Thank you for searching on this message; your search helps us identify those areas for which we need to provide more information. So now I am not sure how to get around this or fix it. I know there is the repair tool within the software, but not sure how that works or what it will do. Any of you have any recommendations or at the least can tell me what happened? How would I go about fixing this so that I can move on and enter transactions? Thanks much for any assistance you can provide! |
