Thank you, Cal.

I did export an investment account to a file called "TEST.QIF". But then
what? What software do I use to look at it or edit it? Then I also peered
at my Excel and it does not offer File exporting to a QIF. I have no doubt
what you are suggesting is the right approach if this were an on-going
activity but for me it is just a one-time issue. I'd rather put up with a
bit of cut and paste misery rather than investing the effort into mastering
QIF files.

So I would still appreciate knowinig how to cut down the Money window to the
bare bones so that I have the most space available to look at another
application.

Two monitors? I expect you think that I am being less than serious,
but it could help with what you say you want.

Actually I suggest that instead, you consider producing QIF files
that you File-> Import as recovered accounts. It will be up to you
whether to make an investment account QIF, or also make a matched up
associated cash account QIF file.

To see what format you would want to create, put in some sample
transactions into Money. File-> Export those to get example files.

Default Configuring the "Investment Activities" window - Money 2006

I have kept track of many investment activities in Excel spreadsheets for
many years. Now I would like to "copy / paste" the transactions into Money.
I would like to free up as much of my screen as I can so that I can work
with two simultaneious windows "sharing" my screen, one Excel and one Money.

Trouble is that Money forces me to look at at lot of Icons and menu lines at
the top that chew up a lot of my valuable screen. How can I cut it back to
just the bare bones: File Edit Favorite Tools Help?
