Guys: I found a work-around, which is actually a pretty ridiculous thing
to have to do. Forget all the bells and whistles (which Money is loaded
with), just give me basic editing functions for AT LEAST the simple
things, like this.

Anyway, I right click a fund, go to "See Details," and in the "Comments"
box I typed "Growth," "Bond," etc. Then I edited the columns, adding
"Memo."

(from the fixed list of "Small-caps", "Mid-caps", "Large-caps", "Bonds",
"Cash", and "Other") to a fund Money can't classify. But you can't create a
classification for "Makes Lots of Money" if you don't like the choices

Under the "category" column, I have some funds that say "Large Cap,"
"Mid Cap," etc. And a few funds are blank.

I would like to edit the categories (example: XYZ Fund now says "Mid
Cap," want to change it to "Growth and Income," etc.) or add a type to
the ones that are blank.

Yes, with limits, you can change the category. Right click the investment,
choose "See Details," then "Asset Class" at bottom of box.

are "Symbol, Name, Category, Market Value . . . "

It's the "Category" in specific funds that I want to change, as in
"Large Cap," "Mid Cap," "Bond," etc.
