See http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com...orkstatus.aspx If this problem has been going on for more than a few hours, then check these: See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929427 and apply that update. Check that the SSL2 protocol is enabled. That checkbox may be in IE Tools-> InternetOptions-> Advanced. If you are having trouble with Windows LiveID after Money install, reboot the computer and try signing in again. If still no go, in IE, I would go to Tools-> InternetOptions-> Security-> TrustedSites-> Sites list and uncheck "Require server verification... ". In the trusted sites list I would add these: moneycentral.msn.com fdl.microsoft.com passport.com passport.net login.live.com g.msn.com money:// |

| Like Byron, I get the "sign-in info could not be verified" message. Have tried Every Single Thing in KB891338 to no avail. My situation is this: I have one old XP desktop, and a new Vista laptop and Vista desktop. Money 2005 installed fine and works fine on the Vista laptop. I am now trying to set up the Vista desktop so I can get rid of the old desktop. And I am encountering this issue with Money. I might add that I can still sign in on both the old desktop and the new laptop. Is there any new info on this issue that might help? -- Joaneee "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Byron Followell wrote: > > Thanks for the reply Cal. | No. I've been using IE7 for a couple of months now and used Money 2005 many, many times since I started using IE7. I've never experienced any problems until now. As a matter of fact, I was just using my Money file last night and everything was fine then. I exited normally and experienced no problems whatsoever. As far as I know, there have been absolutely no changes to my system since that time. It is all very strange. Again, the only issue is that I cannot logon using my Passport ID. I can logon offline without problem but that doesn't help me pay my bills or update my file. - Byron "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Byron Followell wrote: > > Thanks for the reply Cal. You could try reverting to IE6, or changing some things in IE7. | Thanks for the reply Cal. I have no intention of changing anything on my end. I see no status issues that I feel might cause the problem I'm experiencing and I've already ran through every fix in the other link you sent including the complete uninstall and reinstall of Money 2005. Nothing has made any difference whatsoever. I'm still stuck not being able to do anything online with my Money files. I've even went back to older backups to see if there was something wrong but they have the same issue. - Byron "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Byron Followell wrote: > > I've been using Money 2005 Deluxe for a few years now and haven't experienced > > any major problems until now. | I've been using Money 2005 Deluxe for a few years now and haven't experienced any major problems until now. As everyone knows, you cannot do any online banking, regardless of whether you use Microsoft's bill payment service, your banks, or whatever, without having a Passport account and signing in. Well, I can no longer sign in. I can only log into my file by signing in offline. This just started this morning. Upon attempting to sign in I almost immediately get an error that says "Your sign-in information could not be verified. Go online or select the Work offline check box, and then reenter your sign-in information." This allows me to access my accounts and enter checks and look at balances but I can't update my information or pay bills online which is how I pay 80% of my bills. This is a major issue for me currently and I have no idea what has caused it or how to fix it. My Internet access is up. I can check email and surf the web with no problems whatsoever. Money is the only application having any problems. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this or have any idea how to fix it? Thanks in advance. Sincerely, - Byron Followell |
