I don't know what you mean by "the structure". If you mean you want> Money 2005 is on Pc A. Money 2007 will be on PC B. > Converting 2005 file to 2007 seems like the first logical step. You could export a QIF file that has various categories and payees in it, import into a new Money 2007 file as a recovered account. Then delete the account that you imported into. I expect the payees and categories to stay in the new file. Data about those payees and a lot of other things will not follow over tho. - quote - > Whilst cleaning up the financial
A retail copy of Money 2007 is allowed to be installed on your> data in Money 2005, I'll add new data to Money 2007. Pay attention during install if you don't want the older version to be uninstalled in the process. That would give a cleaner new file than converting your old US/Canadian Money 2005 file to Money 2007. |

| Biker- I had this same exact issue except I was using Money 03. I found it MUCH easier to just load the file in Money 07 and cleanup from there. | Thanks for the quick reply. Money 2005 is on Pc A. Money 2007 will be on PC B. Converting 2005 file to 2007 seems like the first logical step. But I only want the structure not the financial data. Whilst cleaning up the financial data in Money 2005, I'll add new data to Money 2007. When 2005 clean up completed, I want to transfer to 2007, but not lose the work done to 2007. Given your reply this may not be easy. Should I just move all to 2007 and clean-up from there? Can I install a second copy of Money 2007 on my wifes PC (data would be on a portable hard-drive)? You could make a copy of your Money 2005 file, and convert only that> upgrade). How do I save the structure from Money 2005 and start using with > Money 2007. You could convert the Money 2005 file, or a copy of it, to Money 2007 when you want. However you cannot integrate two files easily. Was that your question? You cannot open a Money 2007 file with Money 2005. |

| I currently use MS Money 2005. I intend to buy MS Money 2007 (don't want upgrade). How do I save the structure from Money 2005 and start using with Money 2007. Later (after tidying up the data) I want to add the data from Money 2005 to Money 2007, is this possible. Guarenteed sale if this is possible. |
