If you have some accounts set up for online updates, and Money tells you> When I added an account in Money 2007 software, I can see it by IE on > moneycentral.msn.com, so I assume the information is stored online. > Actually I don't mind if my positions etc are stored online, but don't > want my credentials (user name, password, account number etc) are > stored online. Is there a way to do so? that you have to have a Windows Live ID (Passport, whatever) to do that, I believe the answer is no. Certain banks do not link directly to your copy of Money. The only way to sync those online is through third party services, which requires a Windows Live ID. In that case, your data will be online, as well. If you can live without those accounts being online-enabled, or if your banks support online updates with the third parties, then Cal's advice applies. If Money warns you about disabling online updates for certain accounts, you have a choice to make. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

| Anybody knows how to keep Money 2007 data offline rather than online? When I added an account in Money 2007 software, I can see it by IE on moneycentral.msn.com, so I assume the information is stored online. Actually I don't mind if my positions etc are stored online, but don't want my credentials (user name, password, account number etc) are stored online. Is there a way to do so? Thanks. |
