Must depend on the bank. My Chase account does not do this. The original
download put in the masked numbers, but after I changed it, it stayed
changed.

Exactly. And exactly why it's dumb pseudo-security in the first place.

Can't you just go to the Change Account Settings page and replace the masked
number with the complete account number?

And, with online banking, some banks obscure all but the last 4 digits
there, too. I have to copy the account number into the memo field on some
accounts, just so I don't have to dig out a paper statement! Who are they
protecting me from? Me?

What's even more "Brilliant" is to place your Account/Credit Card
Number in the account name - so it shows up on the Account page - all
this to get by Microsoft's "Help" by covering up the credit card
numbers with asterisks to hide it from you - they force you to click
on account details to "show" your account number.

Change the name of your credit card accounts from, for example, "MyBank
VISA" to "MYBank VISA $15K". Then your credit limit will appear on every
screen.

I cannot find where to turn on this feature in Money 2007. I would
like to have the credit limit displayed on the main banking page next
to the balance on the card.

OK. I was wondering if you really found it important to have your
credit card credit limit displayed on the register rather than on
just the account details, or if you were possibly being rhetorical.

"It was not"? It *is* not. And, yes, if it weren't important, I
probably wouldn't have bothered with this thread.

It *was* in MS Moey 2003, which is what I upgraded from. I waited to
upgrade as long as I could for this very reason -

Why it is it that MS believes that a reduction in features is a good
thing?

I've been using Money since v2.0, and each successive version is LARGER
yet contains less features. Why? Why? Why?

Does MS WANT me to use Quicken?

It was not in Money 2007.

Was it important to you to see that number on your register view?

Sure, it's there - I should have been more clear - it used to show up
in the account register - on the same colored line where the account
balance is.

Default Credit Limit Display

Does anyone know if the the ability to display your credit limit in the
account registers of credit cards has vanished from Microsoft Money
2007 or am I just not seeing it?
