Sorry that I missed your address which clearly showed you were in UK.

I just checked EBAY looking at only MS Money packages presently located in
UK. The result was many for sale. Including a UK Money 2002 which is
presently bid at GBP 3.55 and located in Motherwell. Also saw 2005
versions. Obviously do not buy anything older than 2002 or you will not be
able to load your data.

I do not know what your local stores will have but tend to think they might
be bare since MS decided it was not worth producing newer versions.

2005 is the latest UK version. Note you can't mix UK and US versions and
files.

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately, the trial seems to be
restricted to the US, and I'm in the UK (at least, I couldn't find a UK
equivalent on the microsoft.com/uk website.

Your quickest choice might be to download a trial version of Money 2007 and
load the data into it. Other than that your choices sound like buy a copy of
Money 2002 on Ebay or pick up copy of 2006 or 07 at your local store.

An OEM version as you correctly indicate was licensed for that machine only.

Default Recovering data without Money

Hi All,

I had an OEM version of Money 2002 installed on my PC. I've recently
had to replace it due to hardware failure, but have kept the old disk
drive as an external drive on my new system.

Of course, Money won't run, and the disks it came on won't work as it
is a different manufacturers machine

I urgently need to extract some of the account details from it in order
to complete my tax return by the 31st January, any suggestions on how I
could (a) get it working again or (b) extract the relevant data from
the database gratefully received

Thanks

John
